The Bible
We believe in the Bible and that it is divinely inspired. It is without error in the original documents, trustworthy, and of final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
(Matthew 5:17-18, 2 Timothy 3:16)
God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ who is God in flesh, We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless humanity, His sacrificial death, His bodily resurrection and His ascension into heaven.
(John 1:1,14, 1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9, Philippians 2:5-11, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Acts 1:11)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit who regenerates, sanctifies, illuminates and comforts all those who believe in the Lord Jesus.
The Holy Spirit both indwells and enables all believers to live a holy life and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
(John 16:8-15, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Galatians 5:22-25)
Salvation
We believe in the immediate and eternal salvation of all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and Lord. The gift of salvation has been purchased by the Lord Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. We believe that all who trust Him receive eternal life and the forgiveness of sins.
(John 1:12-13, John 3:16-17, Ephesians 1:7, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 10:27-30)
The Church
We believe in the Church;
a) In the universal church, the body of Christ, consisting of all born again believers.
(Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:22-23)
b) In the local church composed of believers in a locality, who meet together in Christ’s Name for the purpose
of worship, prayer, teaching the Word of God and fellowship with one another.
We have been asked by the Lord Jesus to obey two specific requests; Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
(Matthew 18:20, Luke 22:19-20, Acts 2:41-42, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Future Events
We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessing of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
We believe that God will make a new heaven and new earth and reign in righteousness.
(Acts 1:10-11, 1 Corinthians 15:50-54, Revelation 20:11-15, 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 22:1-5)
